This week’s episode:
“Blessed are They”: Blessed Anna Schaeffer
“Among Women” Guest: Elizabeth Scalia
This week Pat shares a few themes from Lumen Fidei— Pope Francis’ first encyclical letter — as well as the life of Anna Schaeffer who found the keys to hope and faith despite a life of physical suffering. Also, we look at the latest book release from author-blogger Elizabeth Scalia, Strange Gods: Unmasking the Idols in Everyday Life. Scalia, well known in the blogging world as The Anchoress, is the managing editor at the Catholic Channel at Patheos. In this interview we talk about rooting out hidden forms of idolatry in our own lives in order to deepen our faith in Christ.
